What is your secret for winning the competition?
From the 2006, I integrate to the Erasmo Pineda Cooperative, which is member of UCA SOPPEXCCA R.L, looking for a development for my family, with the implementation of sustainable management of the farm, which would allow me to increase my production, improve my quality and my coffee to market with better opportunities.
Is in this relationship with UCA SOPPEXCCA R.L, that I´ve accomplished the quality and production standards, in the sustainable management of the farm, in which I´ve participated in the event Cup of Excellence, because it is not simply bring a sample and left to chance, if you win as in the lottery, but to comply with certain requirements of crop management starting from flowering to the selection of the lot to participate in the Cup of Excellence, this is basically what has allowed me to be one of the winners.
How do you feel to be a winner?
At first I give thanks to God for the life, I am proud to have been a winner of this world class event, which is dedicated to the memory of my parents, who instilled in me the love of work and desire to excel with proposed goals in my life. We are proud also to each of the people who have been involved in the whole process of coffee production on the farm, with whom I share the success I have achieved.
What do you think of the Cup of Excellence?
This event is of great importance for the coffee sector and for our country, because is an opportunity of to put on the world the quality of coffee produced in Nicaragua , creando nuevas oportunidades de mercado con el cual posesiona no solo al cafe ganador en el certamen, si no al cafe que se produce en el sector cafetalero.
In my assessment the competition is very transparent and which is subject to the standards of SCAA.
