Overview
This Farm is located in Chalchuapa, department of Santa Ana in the west part of El Salvador . Owned by Rosa Mercedes Garcia de Rodriguez, the farm was inherited in 1962 from her mother Mercedes de Garcia and is now managed by her husband Francisco. From when the farm was first acquired, he has almost tripled its production. The farm has always been planted with Bourbón variety and they have tried to use the least chemicals possible because they believe this affects quality. The winning lot was specially prepared in Cuzcachapa with COE in mind, from the beginning they picked only the ripest cherries from the designated farm area picked for this year competition, the coffee was then sent to the mill for immediate depulping, fermented just the right time, washed and sun dried in the best way possible. As a result of the meticulous work, they were among the winners in this year COE. They are very happy because their coffee is gaining international recognition for being extraordinary.
