Buena Vista was bought in 1995. Since that time it has been managed by Luis Pedro Zelaya Aguirre and Luis Pedro Zelaya Zamora. The ripeness coffee is taken to the farm, Bella Vista, for the wet and dry process. The farm has 84 units with coffee (approximately 45 hectares). The varieties in the farm are Villa Sarchí Bourbón and Caturra. The agronomic management of the farm includes the management of crocheting (pruning and deshije), vegetal nutrition (foliates and yard analysis), and prevention and control of plagues, sicknesses and a strict management of shade (gravilea).
After the cropping of the fruit, it is taken to Bella Vista to be processed. The coffee is divided in lots (day of cropping, variety and altitude). Here is doing the depulped, fermentation, washed and dried process. The drying process could by in yards or under greenhouses. The greenhouse gives the advantage of dry the coffee with controlled conditions and with a gradual form, the circulation of the air allow a uniform dry, as a result we have a better quality of cup.
After leave the parchment coffee in our warehouses, the coffee is processed in the dry mill. The parchment is removed and the green coffee is divided by size and density. Finally the coffee is picked by a colorimetric machine. Through this process, we assure the best quality coffee of the Antigua Region.
