I am Nilton Cesar Mellizo Ausecha, I was born in the municipality of La Sierra in Cauca on December 4th of 1983. I am the second of three brothers. Currently I am 27 years old and I live in the village El Llano located in the east of the department. It is 1700 meters over sea level and its average temperature is 18°C.We have 6 hectares from my parents property, who have agriculture tradition and vocation and that thanks to it they could offer me, education; I have the title of rural promoter in minor species.
At the age of 21, still without a horizon, I met Luz Herminda Chilito Munoz, who is now my wife. With her by my side and thanks to my parents advises I took the coffee path and I planted 2700 trees of Caturra variety that with my hands and the faith for God, they became a beautiful and profitable crop, which allowed me to improve the quality of my life and the one of my family. They are the support to continue moving forward with my company which I continue strengthening thanks to the opportunity that the Coffee Growers Committee of Cauca gave me through a credit program. With it, I planted 7000 more trees, 3500 are Colombia variety and 3500 are Castillo variety, for a total of 9700 trees in the farm.
With some difficulties and obstacles I am still compromised with the activity and for it, one of my objectives is to build my own beneficiadero since currently I have to do it in my neighbors farm.
My goal is to sow 7000 more coffee trees, motivated by my daughter who is my life, my inspiration and who give me forces to continue with this coffee vocation, and in that way being a recognized coffee farmer. And I know that with perseverance and dedication I will be able to accomplish my dreams and to carry my family to the success.
