La Pira de Dota, is set at an altitude of 1700 meters above sea level, it used to be an organic farm, until 2006. This property was named after his first owner Mr. Carlos Ureña, senior, who has been a coffee producer for more than 50 years, starting long time ago, when the cherries used to be carried by oxcarts. After a few years the name of the farm changed as Mr. Ureña also was known as PIRO following the tradition of his father and grandfather Mr. Espiridion, a very common name of that time. La Entrada is part of La Pira and is the front part of the property.
They are located in a small valley, Dota Valley, resided by small coffee producers.
The coffee of La Pira de Dota has participated in the last four Cup of Excellences and has always been a finalists and part of the Electronic Auction!!
