Name and Location of Farm:
Located in Brujil, Macuelizo, Nueva Segovia at 1350 meters above sea level with an annual rainfall of 1200mm, having a sandy soil with a production of 600 quintals in an area of 30 blocks of productive coffee. For me is a model farm in Brujil area because we have 50% shade and I like that improving the quality of my coffee, my farm has two own side of the farm which supplies the farmhouse of the community.
Tell us the story of your Farm:
I bought the farm in 1980 with the help of the bank. I work with my family and my brother, he is the foreman and we have worked very hard to produce the 25 blocks, the farm is in the border between Honduras Nicargua and so I was a little difficult for the conflicts at the time but thank God we are a christian family and with faith and dedication we exceeded many obstacles.
What is your secret for winning the competition?
My secret is focus in the good quality, first cut only the grain mature, also train my workers, they are informed about how to improve the quality and thank God I have the confidence to the people in the Mill (Beneficio Las Segovias).
How do you feel to be a winner?
First want to say thanks God for this great opportunity and second I feel happy for represent one of the best coffees of Nicaragua and Nueva Segovia.
