Santa Rosa farm is located 1300 m above sea mid level of the Tecapa Volcano, in the department of Usulutan, and above the coffee producing city of Alegria and Santiago de Maria. This area is one of the best regions for growing coffee throughout the Eastern zone of El Salvador . The varieties of coffee planted in the farm are, Bourbón Elite, and Typicas. The farm is owned by Gilberto and Francisco Baraona, and has been in the family for over 100 years. This Bourbóns Elites, were picked at the greatest point of maturity, and were immediately depulped and sun dry in Clay Patios at Los Pirineos Coffee Mill.
