* Farm History:
This property was acquired in 2011,is located in the San Pedro de Buculmay region in the mountain ranges known as El Bonetillo hill. It is found bordering the shores of Lake Apanas, one of the most important energy sources in the country, this farm has 134.10 Hectares of which 70% is focused on specialty coffees and 30% cafes we use for preparation of micro lots, the varieties of the farm are Yellow Catuai, Red Catuai and Caturra, in the natural processes, Honey and Washes.
* Family Generations:
This is the 3rd generation family since my grandparents.
* What were the good practices that you implemented that made it the winner of the Cup of Excellence program?
Simply the result of a team effort in which we try to improve day by day our quality on the farm staff highly committed to the quality of coffee and the commitment of our people to do things well, taking care of our product and our natural resources
* How does it feel to be one of the winners?
Very proud to represent our coffee and our people because, thanks to them, their commitment and their work it has been possible to have this very important achievement for our department and for our team, I thank the effort of our production manager in the farm Jimmy Valenzuela and his technical staff, Engineer Ismael Gonzales and all our team who have made this achievement possible. Especially to Jeyson Chavarria our quality control in the farm who has directly supervised these lots.
* In what will you invest the profits you obtain from the cup of excellence?
We will invest in decent housing improvements for our employees and in support of improvements in the health services of our farm collaborators.
* Had you participated in the Cup of Excellence program before?
Yes, this is the 3rd year participating in the event although with other farms we have obtained very good results.
* What do you think of the cup of excellence program?
I consider a very good opportunity to show our coffees to the world, I believe that all producers must be committed one hundred and twenty percent with this event and as coffee producers we must continue promoting and improving our coffee and coffee in Nicaragua to achieve a greater acceptance and positioning of our coffees worldwide.
