Our coffee is stamped by its origin in the Tarrazú region and the inheritance and experience of around forty years of Zamora Picado Family in the coffee growing activity.
In 2014 our family started the entrepreneurship in coffee processing, and was when La Cruz de Tarrazú Micro-Mill was born. La Cruz, as buyers call us, represent the passion and effort for producing and processing coffee, with the main goal that ours coffees can be enjoyed by people that appreciate the quality and social responsibility.
We are a family of five that work together in a sustainable activity.
El Encino is a farm located at Tarrazú is propriety of Zamora´s Family since 35 years ago. The complete area is planted with catuaí variety, under shade of avocado and anona trees.
The shade and weather enable to obtain a perfect ripening and quality of coffee cherries.
For this lot we observe that coffee cherry had a very good quality, and then we decide a natural process would be appropriate for this lot, the 13th place in the Cup of Excellences. In relation with the drying process, the coffee was carefully dried directly under the sun for around twenty-six day in a ‘patio’."
