This farm is located in Llano Bonito de León Cortés at 1800 m.a.s.l. and cultivates the variety Catuai Rojo. These plants are 8 years old and are considered one of the best coffee plantations in the region because of its high productivity and quality. They era located in a very fertile land, perfect shadow and location according the sun. This farm offers a clean cup with honey sweetness, fine and juicy citric acidity and good balance and body.
This micro-lot has a full washed process and has been slow dried for 22 days in order to improve the sweetness without losing the coffee attributes.
The coffee was picked at its optimum level of ripeness in January 2013, disposing the cherries that did not accomplish this condition. This allows a high sugar concentration in the cherry and enhances its sweetness, balance and clean-cup.
This coffee was milled in Beneficio Don Mayo, winner of Cup of Excellence 2009 and a mill that has been in several Cup of Excellence auctions.
