Overview:
In the village El Bermejal in the municipality of Buesaco, on May 19th of 1943 it was born Mrs. Maria Etelvina Diaz de Lopez, daughter of Rosendo Diaz and Laura Eliza Chavez.
She lived her childhood in the village Bermejal between games and tasks that her parents entrusted her and that she, with great pleasantness and obedience did, always thinking on the prosperity and welfare of her parents. In 1955 she did her first and unique years of school in the village where she learnt to live and to develop in the agriculture and livestock ambit. She lived her youth by the side of her parents until she met, at the age of 22 years, to her great and unique love of her life, Mr. Humberto Luis Loaiza with whom she lived and experimented the sweetness of love during two short years. On January 24th of 1968 she got married in the Inmaculada Concepcion church in the municipality of Buesaco.
From this relationship and as a result of the love that they had, it was born her first daughter Sonia Ester Lopez Diaz on May 24th of 1969 and after nine years, her son Nilson Luis Lopez Diaz on March 9th of 1978, being them the light of her eyes and her reason to fight against obstacles presented each day. Her big heart by the side of her husbands, received as their daughter to the girl Viviana Del Carmen Rosero who was born on February 5th of 1991, loving and respecting her as their own child. As a result of their effort, 24 years ago they acquired a farm of 6 hectares which they called Gallinacera located in the village Bermejal. With work and dedication they could planted the farm with around 31000 coffee trees and from it they could acquired the necessary things for living.
Mrs. Etelvina by the side of her husband Mr. Humberto built and worked their land to be able to see their children running and playing in the ground that gave them in many occasions happiness because of the fruits that they collected but also sadness because of the weathers inclemency and sometimes because of criminal hands of some people that stops the progress in the towns. However, the family Lopez Diaz never lost the joy and optimism that characterized them.
They educated their children with honesty and trust so they could be good men and serve their community but always with the humility and the simplicity that they inculcated them and that they have always valued.
On September 22nd of 2003, Mrs. Etelvina loses the greatest love of her life Mr. Humberto because of an illness, which he struggled until the end by the side of his wife. She, devastated but at the same time very brave, fought alone to carry out her children but always with the support of her son Nilson, who has been an essential pillar for the progress of the farm in which he has untiringly worked in the daily tasks that the countryside demands. He manages and grows the fruits that come from the coffee plant, he constantly renew them, maintaining the crop in the best conditions for their optimal use from which it is benefited his family and the community that each day gain their income for living.
