Began as a project impulsed by Erwin Jose Mierisch in the year 2014, by planting Gesha brought directly from Panamá, the farm Santa Lucia, located in the department of Comayagua in the village of Siguatepeque, Rio Bonito. The farm is located at 1650-1800 masl, and the Gesha plantation is exactly at an altitude of 1567 masl. With a productive area of 7.5 mzns.
The total farm area is of 25 mzns, with different varieties such as: Gesha, Yellow Paca,
Lempira, San Ramon, Orange Bourbon, Red Catuai, SL 28, and Laurina.
This project has been part of the Mierisch family since 5 years ago, leadered by Eleane Mierisch. She has worked hard with all her team, giving their best effort to surpass all recent difficulties, and they have replicated the excellent work they have done in Nicaragua with great results. Giving attention to small details, is their road to success. This is the way they have been working, promoting the quality of their coffees, from seed to cup, optimum harvest, quality controls in the drying process, all are part of the details that are always considered, in order to obtain the best results in quality.
Finca Santa Lucia has been blessed by its soil and micro climate, no wonder Honduras has excellent coffees and a great potential in the quality markets.--
