History
I bought this farm in 1993, after several years saving money from my job in different farms and products such as Lulo, Sweet Passion fruit, Beans, etc., once I received the farm I continue with the same products but after 2 years, and following the suggestions from the Extension Service, I decided to start with coffee crops.
Environmental Care
The farm is located in a very fresh area. One border of the farm corresponds to 12 hectares of protected area with native forest. The opposite border is the Ata River, which provides with fresh water to the municipality of Planadas. The farm has also 2 natural sources of fresh water which provide water to 5 neighbors.
Coffee Processing Information
I make cultural control of pests. The main harvest in the farm is between May and July with the 70% of the harvest. The fly crop takes place at the end of the year. I only pick red cherries and depulping is done the same day.
