History
I was borned and I grew up in this farm, the members of my family are my parents and 11 brothers. I started working in the coffee crops when I was 12 years old. The coffee has benefit my family and also the region I live. I know this is one of the few products with a purchase warranty in Colombia . I also know that if I produce a good quality coffee, it will be easier for me to commercialize it.
Environmental Care
All the wet milling process is done in the traditional way, however, we have built a septic tank to keep the water from the washing process, in order to avoid the contamination of the natural sources of fresh water we have in the farm. I don't hunt and I disagree with the growers who burn the lands to get more area for the crops.
Coffee Processing Information
During the harvest, we only pick the ripened beans, which is immediately depulped. The next day the coffee is washed with clean water, and then we transport the beans to the patio for the drying process.
