The producer Jose Roberto Porto, born in a family of farmers and retired of bank, he purchased the Sitio Boa Vista in order to make the coffee plantations there. The flat area, located at high altitude, allows obtaining a better quality product. The grounds of the property where there are not coffee plantations, are occupied by eucalyptus, pastures and native forest. The preserved forests prevent the water sources found there to suffer the effects caused by erosion and siltation. The employees who take care of the farm resides in another property of the producer.
Coffee processing system
The harvest is done when most of the coffee fruit is ripe. The harvested beans are transported every day, to another property, which centralizes the processing for pulped natural coffee production. The green coffee is transported to the warehouse to standardize the lots.
Commitment to quality
The farm receives technical support from agronomists of companies that sell fertilizer, soil and foliar pesticides and herbicides. Jose Roberto Porto is associated with PROCED - Association of Pulped Natural Coffee Producing of Piraju Surroundings.
