Overview

Finca San Jorge is a beautiful property with mountain areas, located in Los Tecomates, Palencia. The coffee plantation begins at 1,432 meters above sea level and produces 250 to 300 quintals per year, mainly of Caturra variety. Besides coffee, at San Jorge has a natural forest and other agricultural products. Finca San Jorge is family owned since 1954. At the beginning produced corn and black beans and only small areas with Bourbón coffee. In 1986, Mr. Tulio Osberto Lemus Pineda received San Jorge property as inheritance from his father. As far as quality concerns we practice different techniques. That includes the experience of our employees, supported by the technical assistance from Anacafe, in order to assure the quality of our coffee. We have a semi wet mill to process quality beans and three patios to sun dry coffee. The farm has the proper infrastructure and trained people to take care of every step of the process. At the farm we are concerned towards environment. That is why we produce and use organic fertilizer (lombricompost).
