Edilma Piedrahita Santacruz, is a daughter of a coffee traditional family, she has dedicated her life to the coffee she is part of the National Federation of Coffee Growers of Colombia . Married to Heriberto Munoz 22 years ago, fruit of that love today they have 5 children: Wilber, Edwin, Julieth, Heriberto, Luis Mateo and one coming in right away that they will name Maria Isabel. She helps her husband in all the activities of the farm and their characteristic is to live in healthy coexistence with the other people and the nature surrounds them. In the farm “El Carrizo” of uneven topography, rich in natural waters, flora and fauna, Edilma has as her goals to inherit to her children the work, the honesty and the love fundamentally to the coffee. The property “El Carrizo” is located in the zone of influence of the biological region of Macizo Colombia no, that´s an important point for them to protect rivers, and all the nature that is around; for that they have special care at the wet milling coffee process, this property owns a high biodiversity of species of flora and fauna therefore the labors at the farm and the coffee process are orient towards the protection and conservation of this natural wealth. For her: The culture of the coffee has benefitted her family a lot, she said after God follows coffee, these beans raised her, and through coffee they are also educating and teaching good things to their children, as well coffee is the generator of employees and well-being at a regional level.
