This allotment was established in 1978 and belonged to my parents. When I got married, my parents gave this land to me in 1992. Ive been managed the coffee plantation in a traditional way. Due to the coffee prices crisis and the lack of help, there is no agro chemicals applied in the coffee plantation, the soil remains intact and the coffee is shade grown. I do pruning, shade control and soil management. We have the opportunity to improve our practices in the beneficio.
Receiving this acknowledgement to my hard work means a lot to me. It makes me think on the prices that my coffee can reach in the market. It means the opportunity to improve the life of my family and pay better to the people that work for us. I’m happy of having achieved this success and to have the opportunity to offer to consumers, great quality.
