The farm is located in the northwest region of Guatemala in the state of Huehuetenango.
The farm was founded around 1940 by Jose Olivio Chavez , grandfather of the actual owner and manager Jose Alejandro Solís.
The plantation is planted from an altitude of 1,300 mts to 1,640 mts 4,300 ft to 5,400 ft. The cultivars planted are Caturra , Catuai , Maragogype,and Pacamara . The soils vary from loam to clay-loam . The average precipitation is 2,200 mm (87 in.)
The harvest starts in December and ends in the last week of March .
The farm has been certified by Rainforest Alliance since 2007 .
We watch carefully not only our quality of our beans but also are very conscious about our environment . We cultivate our coffee in the most sustainable way . We don’t apply any insecticides and we watch carefully not only our crop ecosystem but also our soil .
