My grandfather was the owner since 1960 of this land, but there were a Little of coffee plants. After 1984, mi father planted more coffee trees and 4 years ago, he put me in charge of the management of the finca. We planted new crops so the oldest trees (from catuaí variety) are of 9 years old.
Preparing and working with coffee towards quality, is a very hard work, but the rewards of being acknowledged means a lot for us. I think is necessary too to give an economic incentive to the grower, because working for producing coffee excellence requires much more investment and many time the grower doesn’t have the economic resources for doing so.
