Alemayehu Tilahun, a coffee farmer in Gedo zone, Gedeb woreda, Halo Bariti Kebele, SNNPR,  says he had high hopes for his coffee. “I expect better price, and look forward to participating in future completions,” he said. This year his coffee scored 86.50 making him one of the national winners of the Cup of Excellence Ethiopia.

Alemayehu started his coffee farm in 1998. He has 20 hectares of land and a washing station, and currently produces 6,000 kilograms of washed 74112 variety annually, which is sold to local buyers.
