Mugeyo isaa new coffee washing station that started to process full washed coffee this year and has put emphasis on producing high quality coffee. The cooperative is made of 278 farmers of which 172 are women. The cooperative is located in western region in Nymasheke district, a region renowned for its good quality coffee due to good climatic and geographic parameters.

The cooperative assist famers through training them in good agricultural practices and in getting social assistance like medical insurance locally known as mutuelle de sante. They also promote gender through involving women in coffee activities at each stage of the value chain

Being a new cooperative, Mugeyo started participating in cup of Excellence competition this year 2018 and emerged as winner at 27th place with 86.62% as final score.
