The coffee washing station was built in 2010 with objective to process high quality specialty coffee for special market. We keep our coffee plantations properly and respect all technical best agronomical practices which help us to produce the best coffee in Rwanda,
The variety is “Arabica Bourbón” grown in high altitude, with a reliable wet season and rich volcanic soil – growing conditions that are ideal for the production of high quality coffee.
The Huye Mountain company works towards economic, social, and environmental sustainability while providing a safe, healthy, clean and ergonomic working environment for its employees. Committed to improving the environment, particularly with regard to greenhouse gas emissions, the mill implemented practices to prevent the wasteful use of natural resources and works to offset the effect of climate change in all spheres of its activities.
We fine tune every step of the process for excellence in every single cup, from our plantations to the cup.
The coffee washing station is owned and operated by 140 coffee growers who take initiative to produce the best coffee in the field and it is headed by Rubanzangabo David who is a grower and an agronomist specialist in Rwanda coffee sector.
