Ato Yohannes Degoma is a coffee farmer in Gedeo zone, Gedeb woreda, Worka kebele, SNNPR. He produces 60 kilograms of dry natural coffee on 3 hectares, which he sells to exporters in Addis Ababa.

“I am so happy to have been able to participate in the Cup of Excellence competition. It is very new to me,” said Ato Yohannes. His coffee became one of the national winners, scoring 86.75. “I was hoping to become one of the top coffees, but this will do. Next year I will do better,” he said. “I am hopeful that this will bring me a better market opportunity.”
