Joaquina is an inspiring woman who despite his physical limitations caused by a disease keeps her mind and illusions unshakeable. With much effort, she could raise her sons, Joaquina ways to go about building a small heritage and teach their children how to produce coffee and the value of the honest work.
Today she lives surrounded by her coffee farm where she oversees maintenance activities and nutrition that make her sons or staff hires. During harvest, she checks the process of picking, processing and drying is done properly to ensure the quality of the grain it produces.
Drying is the activity that Joaquina has the absolute control, she has direct access to solar dryer where she spends long hours preparing coffee with dedication and taking care that the grain reaches the optimum moisture.
Although Joaquina had participated in previous editions of COE it is the first time she was able to win in the event.
