History of Los Tres Potros.
Los Tres Potros, is a family owned farmed, actually managed by GECA Coffee, the owner Nora Silvia Cabezas de Mendez Florez, located in the Area of Apaneca, in the deparment of Ahuachapan bought the farm around the year 2001, and as a family they were clear that the objective was to produce good cup quality specialty coffee, that’s why the family decides to plant Pacamara at 1500 meters above sea level, all over the 8 thousand square meters property. The name Tres Potros is traduced as The Three Colts, because there are 3 brother’s sons of the owner, and there has always been great admiration and love coffee and beside for horses. Since the plants where very young they started producing very good cup quality, winning “Exceptional quality for the world “in the year 2016, receiving upwards of 91 points and the tittle of presidential Coffee, and winning other tournaments because of the special characteristics and attributes that the Pacamara plants of the farm are distinguished for, such as creamy textures ans sweet highlights ranging from chocolate to tropical fruit undertones. Actually Los Tres Potros is bought in markets in USA, Europe and Asia.
