The property, located approximately 5 km near from the town of Carmo de Minas – MG, between hills and mountains of Mantiqueira, was acquired by Glaucio Carneiro Pinto in 1992. The coffee plantations were established shortly thereafter, and are in good vegetative condition until today. The owner is son and grandson of farmers, and produces coffee in the town of Carmo de Minas since 1967.
Coffee processing system
Coffee is harvested when the most part of the fruit is ripe. The beans are shelled on the day of harvest, and spreaded out in thin layers on terraces for drying, always being moved, until they reach a desirable percentage of moisture, when stored in wooden bins to rest.
Commitment to quality
The producer Glaucio Carneiro Pinto promotes courses every year, to recycle the expertise of its employees, and do the cleaning and disinfection of the coffee processing system, following technical recommendations. The entire production process its supported by supervision and guidance of Agricultural Technicians hired by COCARIVE – Regional Cooperative of Coffee Growers of Vale do Rio Verde.
