Overview
This farm belongs to the Hidalgo Monge family, Mr. William Gerardo Hidalgo Vindas, Ms. Maria Elena Monge Fallas, and their children Maria Amalia, Jeannette and William Arturo. It is located in Cedral de Aserri, 1400 meters above sea level, 2 manzanas field sown with caturra coffee. One of the old owners named the farm after him, Joaquin. Joaquin Fallas sold the farm to Alfredo Monge Picado 43 years ago, and then he donated it to his daughter Maria Elena 20 years ago. Some time ago the farm had other uses, and I have sown coffee throughout the years. I work the farm myself since it is very small. Sometime ago my wife and children used to help me on the picking season, but now because of the studies and work they cannot do it, so I use the help of some neighbors, giving the families of the area the chance to work.
By working specialty coffee I pretend to offer better quality and get a better price, to give my family a quality life and assure my children and grandchildren´s future. My aim is to continue sowing coffee and give it a better assistance each day, to have a bigger production and maintain the same quality. Thanks to ASOPROAAA´s support throughout the coffee process Ill be able to do so.
El Joaquin 100% washed and sun dried in patios and Africans beds.
