About the farm:
The farm La Providencia is located in the El Vulcan community, municipality of Dipilto, Department of Nueva Segovia. The altitude is 1400 m above the sea level with 1600 m of rainfall per year; the average temperature is 23ºC and a sandy loam. I inherited the farm from my father in 2002. This farm has 5 mz with caturra and burbon variety with a production of 75 QQ.
About her family:
I have a wife and two kids. We learned to work from my parents who taught us to work in all the processes of the coffee production.
What is the secret of your success?
You reach good quality with a good production management; good wet mill management and good dry mill management provided by the mill Las Segovias.
How do you feel being a winner of the Cup of Excellence Nicaragua 2010?
I feel satisfied knowing that my coffee is of a high quality and that I can improve my production as well as the infrastructure. Her experience in the Cup of Excellence: The Cup of Excellence is an opportunity that makes bigger the interest of the farmers to improve the quality of their coffee. Through the Cup of Excellence competition the entire world can get to know our coffee.
