Overview:
Jesus Antonio Apache, married to Ana Perdomo Patino, his 7 children Mariela, Yaqueline, Daisy, Mauritius, Dago, Jesus Antonio, Nataly. In 1988 he bought the farm Diamante located in the path San Isidro - Acevedo, where he at the moment resides. This property has an extension of 12 hectares with coffee variety caturra and Colombia , right now is seeding variety Castillo. He was one of the founders of the Associative group San Isidro, where he has being in directive positions, today is the president of the board of directors of the aqueduct Alto San Isidro, advisor of the company of transportation Agrotrans and vice-president of the Association of Ecological Groups High Yuma. He always handled his property as an enterprise, with the support of its wife and family. He becomes with the renovation process all the related lots and today at the property there are ages between the 2 and 6 years in lots; optimal ages to produce coffee of high quality. He has been in the head of the process of adjustment of the farm to soon fulfill the norm for Rainforest certification in 2005. They also have FLO certification, UTZ and Cafe Practices verification. He tries to keep at least 2.0 hectares of wood to conserve a zone of primary forest. At the coffee plantations there are leguminous trees and other shade species. Keep up an optimal system of waste water treatment of domestic residuals and from the process, at his farm they are also making some compost from pulp and other organic residues. The harvesting of coffee cherries is made every 20 days selectively, harvesting only mature beans. The cycle of main harvest is October to December 80% and for Mitaca May to June 20%. He is also using desmucilaginator for the wet milling process. And for drying he is using a solar dryer and a Casa Elba.
