Farm:
La Buena Estancia Dipilto, Nueva Segovia My land is very high in altitude and was very affected by hurricane Mitch in 1999. I acquired the land in 2000 ever since I acquired it a diversified plan of action has been put into place for productivity and environmental purposes. It has its own spring water for human consumption, its own mill and courtyard. In the month of January we start to rehabilitate the land from February to September and fertilize it with organic fertilizers, and from October to December we harvest, pick and process our coffee. I work daily on the land, the day we pick it we process it and since I have a wet mill in the farm it is much easier for me to keep an eye on quality. I use clean spring water that makes its way to the farm through hoses to avoid contamination.
