Farm: ¨
La Providencia¨ With only 27 years old, I probably am the youngest coffee producer among all the producers of Nueva Segovia. I also attend the University of Ocotal. When I was 17 years old I inherited the farm from her father. From the beginning I noted it was rich land in organic material, I first planted corn, then beans then musacas and a year later coffee. The first generation that planted coffee was my grandfather then father and finally myself. Everything is done manually, the only thing that is not done manually is taking out the pulp we use a motor for that. We use natural shade such as guava of different varieties bucaro among others. The coffee is transported on their backs. I preserve my land by taking care of the flora and fauna, and continually train our human resource.
