Hacienda Alsacia The tradition of quality that best describes Alsacia Estate Coffee has its origin in the exhuberant vineyards of Alsace in France. During the 1850s an immigrant by the name of Robert brought his dream and hopes to Costa Rica and today his descendants share this dream and the same principles of outmost quality that are the only standards for the production of coffee. Hacienda Alsacia is located in a rich volcanic origin soil between Barva and Poas volcanoes in San Luis of Sabanilla, Province of Alajuela, amidst high protected forests. Every step is quality oriented from the plant selection -100% Arabica- to production which is fulfilled under optimal agro-ecological conditions. The coffee in Alsacia has the characteristics of an authentic SHB and has the latest mill technologies implanted, nevertheless traditional methods like sun drying is still a must. From the seedings of the coffee trees to the flavorful cup, Hacienda Alsacia has all the right conditions to offer the most demanding consumers an excellent cup of coffee. This coffee is produced in the best volcanic soils at ideal altitudes, with only the outmost quality control standards from bean to cup.
