Hacienda La Pradera is a specialty coffee project that has been adapting organic practices through certifications that ensure innocuity and quality of the product. 50 years ago, this was a dessertic land located on the Chicamocha Canyon in Santander region which today has become in a 100 hectares forest that provides shade to more than 10 varieties grown under organic practices with special varieties and innovating with processing methods in order to create specialty coffee profiles.
With the aim to find new markets, trends and satisfy the clients’ needs. Hacienda La Pradera works on research and development of equipment in order to differentiate the processes. Today the farm has a coffee lab that benefits other producers as they can find ways to train and improve the quality. This has allowed Hacienda La Pradera to position their coffees in international markets exporting directly and through partners positioning the great coffees from Santander and Colombia.
