History of the farm
It all started with my great grandfather Joao Bravo (was so called) in the then Capinzal farm in the city of Carmo de Minas. Since then it was divided into several parts being my great grandfather Peter with the headquarters and the most suitable land for growing coffee.
With his death my grandmother Cornelia was forced to rent the property to his brother because they were difficult times and she had three young sons and they were still studying. Over the years she divided the farm Capinzal into three new shares. My grandmother and her daughter stayed with one part, my great uncle Jose Pedro (now graduated in medicine in Rio de Janeiro) with another and finally another great uncle Isidro getting the last part.
He didnt have any children, so over the years his nephews helped him rule the farm and later he divided it among them. That is how we got a part of it and named it Sitio Colinas, this part being blessed by God and by nature. The coffee here produced at the Sitio Colinas comes from a long time ago, since the era of my great-grandfather, uniting technology to take to the cups of our consumer doses of the true values as social responsibility, environmental, always remembering of the sustainability and harmony between employees and owners. We believe this is the true mission of Sitio Colinas.
Visiting Sitio Colinas you will notice that nature and technology get together and work together to produce coffee with great flavors. I hope to God that we can pass along to our children everything we have learned with our parents and grandparents, and they carry on the coffee crops always following the good principles that we inherited. At last, Sitio das Colinas awaits you.
