Nyakizu CWS is owned by a dynamic cooperative known as KABAKANYA which started in 2005 and it was initially composed with around 800 members with 21% of women. It is located in Nyagisozi Sector, Nyaruguru District, in Southern Province. The cooperative members themselves cover around 60 Ha of land where coffee is grown. In addition to that cherries can be collected from other farmers who are not necessary the cooperative members. In order to improve on the daily life some % of the generated income covers their health insurance and support in education for their children.
